Sarvapriya Sangwan

Sarvapriya Sangwan is an award-winning journalist and digital media leader with more than 14 years of experience across television, digital journalism, reporting, anchoring, and newsroom leadership. Currently serving as Digital Video Editor for BBC’s six Indian language services including BBC Hindi and a Lead for BBC Urdu team in India, she has been instrumental in driving the growth and innovation of BBC’s Indian language content, creating impactful and engaging journalism for diverse audiences across platforms.

Born and raised in Haryana, Sarvapriya holds a Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery, a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, and has also studied Law, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to her work and storytelling.

Her journalism career began at NDTV, where she worked on Prime Time before becoming an anchor and reporter.  A two-time recipient of the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Award and the Danish Siddiqui Journalism Award, she has also received multiple Red Ink Award Special Mentions, was nominated as BBC’s Rising Star of the Year, and was recognized as Journalist of the Year 2025 by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association.
